Stupid cold ☹️

So I’m so very happy that it’s Tuesday. I’m sick and I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that I have to do today. And I intend to do just that. I’m pooped. I’ve been working a lot of days but shorter shifts. It’s a lot more time getting ready and a lot more driving time. I’m trying to be nice and accommodating but I’m tired…and now sick. It’s gonna be a long month!! 

I’m looking into my garden already!! I have spring fever like no other!! ☀️☀️☀️☀️I’m reading a book for beginners and their first year of gardening. Also I have a set of PURPLE gardening tools, ergonomically correct of course! 😜 I know what I want to plant and where, oh I’m just so excited!! I think a garden will do me good! My Love is just letting me run with it for  now. 🌻🌷🍃🌱🥒🍆🌶🍅


I am getting back on track I hope with blogging. 💜🖋📓 Consistency is a struggle of mine. I’ll just have to work at it!! I try to do too much then I crap out and get mad at myself. Silly isn’t it?! Anyhow I’m 2 weeks in a row! It’s a streak!!

Well I’m home with my fur face…it’s been real

So my quickie trip to Boston did not go as planned…that’s putting it mildly.  Let’s start at the beginning.

I drove myself to the airport so that Id have my car when I got home since My Love was not going to be with me.  He’s on a road trip to a convention he was going to out of state.  My fur face was staying at her favorite 2nd home Bark at the World .  My Mom had told me that my Grandfather was in the hospital with pneumonia.  I honestly didn’t think too much of it…..that was my mistake.

I get to my Mom’s and my sister is there with my nieces, my Mom and an aunt or two…kind of odd for a Thursday.  It was said that we needed to go see Pop.  I seem to forget that he and my Gram are 81.  They don’t bounce back like they used to.  Pop was in a BAD BAD way.  It absolutely rocked me to my core…he can’t go yet.  We’ve been very very spoiled just to have them as grand parents for the past 37 years.  Although they’re only “grandparents” they have been so so so much more to Sister and me.  We lived with them for 8 plus years.  The best years growing up.  I have my best childhood memories with them.  My mom worked her butt off all the time and took night classes until she graduated from college.  Pop took early retirement at 55, we were always with them.  Camping every weekend all summer long and a week in the summer, a trip to Disney.  So many of my best memories are living on Eustis St at the end of a dead end having fun for years…..

My grandfather is the main guy of the house…My Dad wasn’t in the house.  Pop was.  Sister and I learned things that are no longer taught.  Respect, honor, love, all the good stuff that matters in life.  You get your butt up if you’re sitting in Pop’s seat.  From Gram I got “You never feel bad for doing the right thing.”  They’re great great people and I’m a better person to have learned life lessons from them directly.

Great news: Pop’s doing MUCH MUCH better.  I did extend my trip for a couple days.  I just couldn’t leave…not like he was.  I broke a few speed limits getting to my Bailey last night.  She’s been sleeping ever since.

I had a TERRIBLE weigh in today.  I had to pay for all of the bad things I ate all week.  I now know that that sucks so I won’t do it again this week.  I’m starting couch to 5 K either tonight or tomorrow 🙂

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

I hope all of you are getting moving for a great week!

I got to go to yoga so my Monday is back on track!  I just love it.  I’m not that good yet but I’m already seeing improvements in my balance and my upper body strength.  I’ll take it!  I was hoping that it would help me get out of my head a bit, it only worked very temporarily, I’m still miserable.  I just can’t seem to shake this funk.  It’s been at least a week, possibly 2 that I’m very irritable.  I’m just an absolute witch in my head, but I keep it in there; you can’t just go around being mean to people.  When I’m sitting down “relaxing” I’m off in never never land, not paying a bit of attention.  This reminds me that I must call my Doc.  I hope it goes away soon…I hate when I’m like this!!! 😦

We had a great week of food!! Turkey tomatillo burgers, baked chicken with artichokes, roma tomatoes, mozzarella and basil, sushi…..yummmmm!!

We have been exercising a bit but we need to kick in high gear this week.  I WILL do 4 workouts this week!!  We leave for a week to Boston for my cousin’s wedding on October 1st. I’m hoping to stay on track while we’re there, although the week is already jam packed full of busyness!  This past week when I did workout it was just a half hour on the treadmill walking.  My Love is helping me to make sure I do SOMETHING, even if it’s not all out full throttle.  THANK YOU MY LOVE!

Just keep swimming right?  Swimming, walking…whatever 🙂  I keep struggling with the getting moving and keeping on track…but so does everyone else right? 🙂 I just hate not being me…but please believe that as cranky and miserable as I am I can still laugh and smile and carry on.  I’m just very sad inside.

I almost burst into tears last night out of frustration with Bailey, again! She sure is cute….and maddening!!!  She is getting better but with my massive cranky time I feel like I’m a bad pup Mom.  My Love says I’m WAY too hard on myself…but that is all part of my journey.  I need to get better but when I’m in my funk not too much will help me be better with myself.  When I’m good I’m great but I’m not right now so I’m unhappy and absent with a stupid headache.  I’ll be back soon…but for now: It’s almost time for Ellen…I need to get my laugh on!!! 🙂

I’m at war with clutter at home…I think I’m losing

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!!!  We definitely did!!!

We had dinner plans with a friend of mine and her hubby Saturday night.  We requested that the place have a patio and it did with an extra added bonus of some live music!  Score!  We didn’t talk about work or stress, just lots of laughs and great company!  We said that we’d get together next month and I’m making sure that we make plans!!  Next thing you know, a year’s gone by…time flies like that.

Sunday we had a super chill day and just let the relaxation happen.  We truly enjoyed the day and it was well needed!!!  

So I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of all of this clutter…yeah it’s magazines and papers…and being a networker…damn business cards!  Luckily I have a better online store to shop with so the coupons are all gone!  However, the magazines still remain.  I’m still working on my Dream board with all of the magazines I have to go through.  Goal #8 (the others are coming).  Anyway, I’m trying to do it as I go, just always have something in my hands to throw out.  I’ve gone though the pile on the coffee table, however it may have just moved to the arm of the couch…damn my hoarding tendencies. (Thanks Nana)

As far as my week….my health is cooperating so that is a big plus!  I only had a couple of workouts and our eating was pretty good so I’m happy with all of that.  This week I’m hitting it hard with my goals and I’m determined to get some awesome losses on the scale!  Sometimes you’re the one being led and sometimes you’re doing the leading in any relationship.  This is also true of My Love and I’s fitness routine.  Sometimes he’s the bad ass one and sometimes I’m the one doing the nudging.  Today starts my not so gentle prodding toward the fitness room. 🙂  We have goals and wants on the scale and in the jeans.  I say this after my first workout of the week is under my belt. ❤   I’m scheduling in my workouts so they are part of my daily To-Do’s.  It’s easier to accomplish because I have classes that I’m taking.  On yoga days I’d love to potentially get in some cardio with My Love…let’s see how that plays out.  How do you all do your workouts? My Bestie will get up before work at like 5AM…please believe that you will NEVER see me get up at 5 AM for anything unless it’s a flight.  She does have a house full of 3 boys, a big dumb dog (Sorry Ted) and a hubby.  She gets her alone time in with her workout.  To anyone who does this: YOU’RE AWESOME! Now me on the other hand…I’m doing good to get there for 10:30 🙂   I’m improving, it was 1:00PM 🙂

I proclaimed my goals for the week on Facebook so I’ll just proclaim them again:

1.Workout 4X

2. Eat clean 80% of the time

3. Read at least 3 days

4. 3 Networking events

5. Make calls 3 days

6. Audio books 3 days

Those are some big goals…do people in general not set goals because they’re a call to action?  Maybe they’re not into disappointment when they’re not achieved? I like them so I reach high…even if I miss one at least I’m a whole bunch closer than I would’ve been if I just coasted….my just go with the flow doesn’t get too much accomplished…that’s why I make goals. 🙂

I feel guilty that I don’t have any pictures for you this week…the puppy is getting bigger by the minute.  She’s 11 weeks 🙂

Happy Monday friends!!!

I’m still hooked on this adorable little being, HOWEVER, I’m tiring of the potty training….it’s a struggle in that you get duped into believing that it’s going well.  All day nice and smooth…then out of nowhere there’s pee on the floor….wtf pup.  I know it’s a process, but it’s getting much better already.  Most of the time she will go to the door or I’ll be up for myself and take her then.  When it comes time to come in she likes to throw herself on the ground and eat some grass.  She’s a dog…that is what they do.  Cats eat house plants, dogs eat grass.  She’s a great addition to the house!!!  She’s very lucky that she’s cute. 🙂  My Love is completely smitten with her loving nature and sweet disposition.  Neither of us are impressed with her need to bite everything.

Okay back to actual business.  It’s Monday and you’re all having an amazing day!  I hope you all have great plans for the week!  Being a networker my “job” is socializing.  For all of you who know me, it’s certainly no stretch…in fact it is QUITE fitting.  I’m a Chatty Cathy!  Now most of my people know that, lately I’m more of a listener.  I’m practicing listening with the intent to listen not only to prepare my response and wait to talk.  That is a lost art these days.  I’m not going to lie I do only listen to wait for my chance at my 2 cents worth a lot, and it’s not cute.  My Bestie and I can have many simultaneous conversations both talking at the same time.  We’re good like that 🙂 🙂   In general it is frowned upon.  I work at building my network and building relationships with the people in my networks.  People do business with those that they like and trust.  🙂

This past week was kind of a flop fitness wise.  I got off to a great start with Monday and Tuesday getting a workout in…but that was it for the week.  I’m still struggling to balance work, fitness and pup parenting…nevermind getting in personal development.  I do listen to an audio book on longer car rides and when doing laundry home alone.  Our eating was pretty damn clean and we’ve been consistent with myfitnesspal.  We had the music on more than the tv last week and it was great!!!  Why do I watch reruns that I’ve seen at least 6 times?!?!!?  Do I really NOT have anything better to be doing???  Come on Chrissi, get your head in the game!

O M G ! ! ! ! ! I’m so excited about this place!!! Best meatballs in Littleton!!! I have been looking for a great spot for a sub…Italian food and maybe a salad…OH MY GOODNESS!!!! SO DAMN GOOD!!! Old Fashioned Italian Deli in Littleton CO oldfashioneditaliandeli.com I practically licked the plate!

 I need to talk about this picture!  That was my lunch Saturday…only the pasta salad was left after I enjoyed every single morsel and bite of the best meatball sub in CO!  The one and only thing that I have been lacking in my life is a great sub shop.  I’m sorry Subway but your crap ain’t cutting it with me.  It’s quick and a healthy option in a vast land of fried “food” and fast “food”.  That being said, this Boston girl needs Mom and Pop homemade Italian deliciousness…I’m so very pleased to have been brought by My Love to the heaven that is Old Fashioned Italian Deli in Littleton Colorado.  If I’m going to have a cheat I don’t want to have it wasted on crap that doesn’t stack up to my high standards!!  I didn’t regret my meatball sub in any way, shape or form.  I was happy happy happy!!! 

I was craving pizza last week and grilled chicken salad wasn’t quite sounding delicious…and My Love, ever so awesome suggested Portabella Pizza…I love him!  It’s perfect!  I had the sauce and cheese and I love me some mushrooms…he’s a genius!  So we had those and I’m over my pizza craving…well for today 😉

So I stole this off of facebook as you can see, and it just smacked me in the face a bit.  It was a lightbulb moment as they say.  Wanting all of the things that I want (fit life, entrepreneur, gym, clean house, money in the bank) I must juggle…my juggling has been dropping more than juggling lately.  So I finally get the pencil to paper for a time assigned Monday.  I had 10 things on my list for today and I currently have 7 things left…well 6 after I finish up here.  Only half are important house wise and half are business wise.  Not bad for 3:00…the rest is inside the house stuff so I can be puppy Mom.  

So I know more people are seeing this blog now that I promote it…and I LOVE IT!!  THANK YOU!!!

So…it’s a beautiful September afternoon here in the Mile High City

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen!

I’ve been working hard at everything lately, even though I’ve been sick for a week!  I’ve been eating healthy and keeping my food journal, as well as doing some meal prep.  I’ve been getting in my workouts, not as many as I would ideally like but I’m getting there.  I’ve been making appointments and using my upline.  I’ve been doing my reading and staying accountable.  I’m looking to keep my eye on the prize…My Love getting out of the dreaded casino.

We went to the Red Sox game last week, although here it would’ve been called the Rockies game 🙂  It was awesome!!  THEY WON!!!  We haven’t been to a game all year, it was the last home game of the season.  We went just in time!  Luckily we’ve been to 2 Red Sox games this year.  One in Boston, one in Denver.  We’re cool like that 🙂

I’m not looking at the scale yet, I hate that thing.  I will say that my face looks a TINY bit thinner.  I think I got sick as I got the nasties out of me 🙂  I feel much better now!  I’m going to to back the the actual gym Wednesday.  I go to 24 Hour Fitness and they’ve remodelled.  I’m looking forward to seeing it.  I’m going to do weight training in with my cardio, I’m so excited!!!  I’ve missed it!   

We have a date day this week!!!  I love date day with My Love!  I’m hoping to take some pictures, for you and my Instagram.  I’m liking IG.  Do you all have IG accounts?  May I follow you?
